“Verena’s training is transformational. In a few weeks my horse went from a half-feral people avoiding horse, to one that greets you at the gate. She taught him to stand quiet for mounting and softened his gaits, getting him in a correct frame. Beyond the horse, Verena is a pleasure to work with. I got frequent training updates. And she was patient and understanding with a faint-hearted rider.”
“What sets Verena apart is not just her knowledge of horses, but the way she teaches with intuition, empathy, and deep respect for both horse and rider. Over the past year, I’ve watched her tailor every lesson to meet us exactly where we are—whether we’re working through fear, building confidence, or just learning to listen better. She has a gift for unlocking progress without pressure, and her quiet strength and steady encouragement have made all the difference for both me and my daughter. I recommend her in the highest way for both adults and children.”
“We are so fortunate to have had Verena as our coach. In a little over two years I watched my daughter grow in confidence. Not just in the saddle but outside the arena as well. One of my daughter’s favorite things about being coached by Verena is how she challenged her while equally encouraging her. My daughter is so proud of the 8 ribbons she’s won under Verena’s guidance. and is always looking forward to the next competition. It is clear that Verena has a deep connection with and love for horses. She is so knowledgeable and passionate, and always has the answer to our questions. We’d work with her again in a heartbeat!”
“Before I took lessons with Verena, I already had seven years of riding experience, but I've never learned as much in all seven years, as I did with Verena. Before I was with her, I thought I knew a lot about horses, only to realize that wasn't the case. Verena allows you to see everything from a completely different perspective, and I've been able to apply the knowledge I acquired from her to every riding discipline. She taught me to understand horses better and how to communicate with them correctly. She also taught me the differences between horses and that what works for one horse is no guarantee for another, which has made me much more flexible and sensitive towards horses. She always challenges you to face your weaknesses and overcome them. Clear communication and instructions were never a problem, and if you had questions, she explained them to me until I understood. Verena is a great teacher and I was able to learn a lot from her.”
“I was certainly blessed to find a connection to Verena Bragg when the "grandkid's bombproof trail horse" I had just bought suddenly turned into a monstrous bully that bit me and kicked at me. I was paralyzed with fear after this dramatic turn, but Verena's vast knowledge of horsemanship and horse personalities helped me re-frame the situation and get him back in control. Due to Verena's patience and compassion, this horse is no longer headed to the glue factory, he is a chummy cuddler who likes being with his alpha person. Verena's knowledge of hoof and leg structures have been helpful in managing his aging and injury conditions. I so hope to continue learning English, Western, dressage, and trail riding and maybe expand to driving ponies. Verena is a true gift for the equine community in this area, and I am so pleased to know her!”
